H.E. Mohamed Rizvi Hassen, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Ankara, and Rohitha Jayasooriya, Undersecretary of Trade, visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on August 13, 2021.
TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy welcomed Sri Lankan Ambassador to Ankara H.E. Mohamed Rizvi Hassen and the accompanying delegation and gave general information about the working areas of the Institute by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haldun Karan, Deputy Director of the Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fehmi Akgün, Deputy Director of the Energy Institute, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Karadağ, Deputy Director of the Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute, Dr. Sena Saklar Ayyıldız and Dr. İncinur Hasbay, Deputy Directors of the Food Institute.
Subsequently, Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Ankara H. E. Mohamed Rizvi Hassen and the accompanying delegation visited the Biodegradable Waste Recovery Laboratory, Water Safety and Dissolved Oxygen Laboratory at the TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, the Molecular Plant Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory at the TÜBİTAK MAM Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Institute, the Product Exhibition Area at the TÜBİTAK MAM Food Institute and the Fuel Cell Laboratory and Combustion Gasification Pilot Plant at the TÜBİTAK MAM Energy Institute.E. Mohamed Rizvi Hassen, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Ankara, and the accompanying delegation were provided with on-site information about the work carried out and the products and infrastructure of the Institutes.
