The Delegation of the Spanish Polar Committee visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on 27.09.2022 to discuss scientific collaborations and logistics processes.
The 1st Cooperation Meeting, where Turkish and Spanish Researchers came together and scientific discussions and mutual relations were discussed, was attended by D. Angel Sevillano, Defence Attaché of Spain, Prof. Antonio Quesada, Director of the Spanish Polar Committee, Dr. Josabel Belliure, Scientist and Kpt. D. Rafael F. Aguirre Pastor participated.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Burcu Özsoy, Vice President of Climate Change and Sustainability at TÜBİTAK MAM and Director of the Polar Research Institute, and mutual presentations were made by the Turkish and Spanish delegations.
In the first session of the meeting, which was held in two sessions; at the end of the presentations, opinions were exchanged on cooperation sharing. Then the second session of the meeting started.
At the end of the second meeting, which aimed to improve logistics processes, positive decisions were made for mutual logistics assistance and project cooperation for Spain and Turkey.
