SMART4ENV Project Coordinated by TÜBİTAK MAM Qualified for Support

Within the scope of the Horizon Europe Program, TUBITAK Marmara Research Center was entitled to take part as the coordinator in the project titled "SMART4ENV- Enhancing the Scientific Capacity of TUBITAK MAM in the Field of Smart Environmental Technologies for Climate Change Challenges".

SMART4ENV consortium of 5 partners (TÜBİTAK MAM, Turkey; Università Politecnica delle Marche-Italy; Fundación Universitaria Balmes, Spain; Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway and Sustainable Innovation Technology Services, Ireland) with a budget of €1.5 million will be coordinated by TÜBİTAK MAM. The project aims to raise the research and competence capacity of TÜBİTAK MAM researchers in the field of digital and smart technologies to address future climate challenges. At the same time, it aims to strengthen TÜBİTAK MAM's networking channels, share knowledge with stakeholders and increase the capability of national stakeholders in smart environmental solutions.

Within the scope of the project, R&D activities will be carried out in the fields of wastewater treatment, agricultural water management, air pollution and marine research by realizing 6 laboratory and field-scale sample applications in which innovative technologies will be used. In addition, trainings, scientific international events and networking activities will be organized.

SMART4ENV is scheduled to end in 2025.
