In coordination with the Gebze Chamber of Commerce, the Embassy of Rwanda and a delegation of 15 people from the Republic of Rwanda, consisting of officials from Hakan Madencilik A.Ş. and Enprom A.Ş., which have investments in thermal energy in this country, visited TÜBİTAK MAM on August 28, 2014 to discuss bilateral cooperation issues.

At the meeting, which was held in the presence of TÜBİTAK MAM President, Vice Presidents, Energy Institute, Materials Institute and Food Institute Directors, after the opening speech of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Tunaboylu, President of the Center, general information about the Center was given by watching the TÜBİTAK MAM promotional film, followed by the presentations of the Energy Institute, Materials Institute and Food Institute, and detailed information about the working areas of the Institutes was given. In addition, the institute was introduced by the representative of TÜBİTAK UME.

As a result of the discussions, which continued with mutual questions and answers, an agreement was reached on technological cooperation between the Republic of Rwanda and TÜBİTAK MAM in the fields of energy, food, materials and environment.
