"Draft National Action Plan Stakeholder Workshop" was held on October 12, 2017 at TÜBİTAK Presidency/Ankara Mustafa İnan Meeting Hall within the scope of "Project on Updating the National Action Plan for the Protection of Our Seas against Land-Based Pollutants".

The workshop was attended by 60 participants from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, General Directorate of Bank of Provinces, Ministry of Health, universities, development agencies, NGOs and Coastal Provincial Directorates of Environment and Urbanization and Metropolitan Municipalities in coastal provinces.
The workshop started with the opening speeches of Huri Eyüboğlu, Marine and Coastal Management Branch Manager from the General Directorate of Environmental Management of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Baban from TÜBİTAK MAM ÇTÜE. Afterwards, the participants were introduced to the "Workshop Methodology and Draft National Action Plan" by Project Coordinators Gülsen Avaz and Aslı Süha Günay.

Following the presentation of the work of the Thematic Working Groups (TWG) on Urban, Industry and Agriculture by the TWG Leaders Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Baban, Dr. Şeyma Karahan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal Güneş, information was provided on the "NAP Implementation Plan" and "Socio-economic Analysis" and a "prioritization of criteria and measures" was carried out with all participants.
The results of the Draft National Action Plan Stakeholder Workshop are of great importance in terms of ensuring stakeholder participation and information, as well as in the formation of the final action plan.
