On the 77th anniversary of his passing away, we gathered to commemorate the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, the Founder of our Republic, and his comrades-in-arms and our beloved martyrs on November 10th. After a moment of silence and the National Anthem, TÜBİTAK MAM President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır TUNABOYLU made a speech stating the meaning and importance of the day.

In his speech, TUNABOYLU stated that the success of Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and his comrades-in-arms in the War of Independence triggered the struggle for independence not only of our nation but also of many nations in the world, and emphasized that the real independence can be gained with technological independence. He stated that from Ibni Sina to Harezmi, our ancestors gifted our nation with groundbreaking inventions not for 10 years, but for 100 years and 500 years, and that we should carry our country forward with the same purpose.
