The work carried out within the scope of the Antarctic Science Base Project, which is carried out under the auspices of the Presidency, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and under the coordination of the TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute (KARE), has become more visible in the international arena.

In the "April 2020 COMNAP Information Update Report" published by Dr. Kelly K. Falkner, President and Michelle Rogan-Finnemore, Executive Secretary of the Council of National Antarctic Program Executives (COMNAP), information was shared about the Temporary Turkish Scientific Research Camp established on Horseshoe Island and our newly established institute.

It has been verbally stated by representatives of foreign countries in international meetings that with the successful Antarctic expeditions carried out by our country in recent years, we have reached an equivalent position with most countries that have been working on the continent for many years.
