On Friday, September 9, 2016, a coordination meeting was held with MÜSİAD Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sector Board in preparation for the "Halal, Reliable and Healthy Food Workshop" hosted by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center. MUSIAD Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sector Board was represented at the meeting by Yaşar SEKİZKARDEŞ, Chairman, Dr. Can DEMİR, Vice Chairman and Zafer GÖR, Board Member. TÜBİTAK MAM Strategy and Technology Development Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat MAKARACI, Food Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cesarettin ALAŞALVAR, Strategy Planning Unit Manager Necdet BARLAS, Food Institute Deputy Director Dr. İncinur HASBAY, Food Institute Lead Researcher Assoc. Dr. Canan DOĞAN and Expert Researcher Dr. M. Esra YAYLA attended the meeting.

At the meeting, it was decided to organize the "Workshop on Safe, Healthy and Halal Food" in December 2016, hosted by MÜSİAD. After the meeting, it was decided that TUBITAK will contribute to the research on "Safe, Healthy and Halal Food" in terms of R&D and MÜSİAD will contribute in terms of finance and resources. In this way, both producers and consumers will benefit from this cooperation.
