As the first and only accredited infrastructure in the field of underwater acoustics in our country, TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Materials Institute Underwater Acoustics Laboratory (SAL) continues to work on projects for the needs of the TNFC.
Within the scope of the MİLGEM Fifth Ship Hull Mounted Sonar Marine Unit Project signed between TÜBİTAK MAM and ASELSAN A.Ş., the development of the Sonar Marine Unit, preparation of the array structure and test-characterization activities were completed.
The Factory Acceptance Tests (FKT) activity of the Sonar Naval Unit was successfully carried out between July 06-09, 2021 in the presence of the Acceptance Committee consisting of officials from the TNFC, STM and ASELSAN A.Ş.
