Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Dündar Erbahar, Principal Researcher at the CBRN Sensor Technologies Project Group of the Institute of Materials, who was awarded the L'Oréal-UNESCO "For Women in Science" Program Award, which was created to celebrate the excellence of young scientists under the age of 40 conducting cutting-edge scientific research and to support young talents to continue their scientific work.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Dündar Erbahar aims to develop compact chemical sensors with high detection sensitivity against toxic gases, superior performance, suitable for mass production, economical, low power consumption. The new "twisted" double-layer graphene will be used in sensor applications for the first time in our country and in the world; the development of chemical sensors is aimed.

The project aims to bring added value to our country by meeting the demands of security units, industrial organizations and various public institutions and organizations in military and industrial fields by transferring the sensor system to industry and national security.
