On September 19, 2014, Salah Abuhuleia from Libya National Oil Company and 5 accompanying Libyan delegation visited TÜBİTAK MAM to discuss bilateral cooperation issues on petrochemicals. During the meeting held in the presence of TÜBİTAK MAM President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır TUNAYBOYLU, Vice Presidents Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat MAKARACI, Esad AKGÜN, relevant managers and researchers from Energy Institute and Chemical Technology Institute, general information about MAM was provided. Energy Institute, Chemical Technology Institute, TÜSSİDE and UME gave detailed information about the working areas of the institutes with their presentations.

After the meeting, EE Fuel Technologies Group Liquid Fuel Analysis Laboratories and Fuel Cell Laboratories were visited, and the functioning of the laboratories and technical information were conveyed to the delegation. During the meeting, which continued with mutual questions and answers, a technological cooperation agreement was reached between Libya and TÜBİTAK MAM on the establishment of measurement and analysis laboratories and training.
