Kyrgyzstan Energy Delegation Visited TÜBİTAK MAM

As part of a project supported by the World Bank, a delegation of officials from Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Energy and the country's electricity transmission and generation companies held meetings on energy infrastructure and renewable energy transformation in Turkey. The delegation visited relevant institutions in Ankara and Istanbul and was hosted by the Vice Presidency of Energy Technologies at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on February 5, 2025.

 

At the meeting held at TÜBİTAK MAM METU Campus, information was shared about Turkey's R&D activities in the field of energy technologies, grid management, renewable energy estimation and power quality, renewable energy integration and digitalization projects. The delegation had the opportunity to closely examine TÜBİTAK MAM's contributions to the energy infrastructure and the technologies it has developed.

In line with the increasing renewable energy investments in the energy sector, Kyrgyzstan is conducting studies on issues such as grid analysis, generation planning and legislative regulations. In this context, the visit to Turkey aims to contribute to Kyrgyzstan's energy transformation process by increasing the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two countries.

TÜBİTAK MAM officials stated that they were pleased to welcome the Kyrgyz delegation and hoped that international cooperation in the field of energy would continue to strengthen.
