TÜBİTAK MAM Within the scope of the "Load Dispatch Information System Development Project" carried out by the Power Systems Research Group of the Vice Presidency of Energy Technologies, an advanced level applied DIgSILENT PowerFactory training was organized for the personnel of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ). The training was organized at TEİAŞ Training Directorate in Ankara and 29 TEİAŞ personnel participated.
In the first part of the training program, general features of DIgSILENT PowerFactory software were introduced and basic concepts were covered. The equipment and modeling methods used in the grid modeling process were discussed in detail. Participants had the opportunity to perform load flow, congestion and short circuit analysis required in grid operation and interpret the results. In addition, the use of data hierarchy to create different operating situations and scenarios was supported with sample applications.
The second part of the training focused on dynamic analysis studies. Automatic voltage regulator (AVR), power system stabilizer (PSS), speed governor and generator models were introduced and the importance of these components in dynamic analysis was emphasized. Initial state determination, constraint and fault identification processes were demonstrated practically with the dynamic analysis tool of the program. The training was completed with case studies for the interpretation of the analysis results.
This training, which aims to enable TEİAŞ personnel to use DIgSILENT PowerFactory software more effectively in grid analysis, made significant contributions to the participants with its practical content.
