The periodic Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) Environment Commission meeting, where environmental problems in Kocaeli province are examined, solution proposals are produced, joint projects are carried out, and representatives of public institutions and organizations, universities, local administrations, organized industrial zone directorates and private sector representatives participate, was held on March 12, 2019 at TÜBİTAK MAM Gebze Campus hosted by TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Clean Production Institute.

The meeting started with the opening speech of the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Muhammet Saraç, General Manager of İZAYDAŞ, and continued with the introduction of the TÜBİTAK MAM promotional film and the briefing of Dr. Selma Ayaz, Director of the Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, on the projects carried out within the institute.

After the discussion of the KSO agenda items, TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute researchers talked about the projects carried out in our region and presented their suggestions for further development and expansion of the scope of these projects. The meeting of the KSO Environment Commission was completed with a visit to the laboratories of the Institute of Environment and Cleaner Production, which includes product development activities.
