As you know; a fire disaster occurred on November 07, 2015 at the Laboratory Directorate of the Eastern Marmara Customs and Trade Regional Directorate and the laboratory was damaged as a result of the fire. A certain period of time is required for the laboratories to become operational again.

In order to prevent the victimization of our industrialists in our region, it has been proposed by our Chamber to the East Marmara Customs and Trade Regional Directorate to use the University, TÜBİTAK MAM and other accredited laboratories in our region for the relevant analyzes in this process.

Our proposal has been deemed appropriate by the Eastern Marmara Regional Directorate of Customs and Trade. Until the Regional Laboratory becomes operational, we have been informed that the goods subject to analysis can be sent to any Customs Laboratory, University or TÜBİTAK MAM Laboratories, provided that the costs of the analysis are borne by the obliged parties, in accordance with the provisions of Article 201/1 of the Customs Regulation under the Customs Law No. 4458, according to the characteristics of the goods.
