The project "PhenolAcTwin- Enhancing Research and Innovation Capacity of TUBITAK MRC Food Institute on Dietary Polyphenols and Bioavailability/Bioefficacy", which was accepted within the scope of the European Union H2020-WIDESPREAD-2020-5 Twinning call and coordinated by TÜBİTAK MAM Food Institute, started on December 01, 2020. PhenolAcTwin is one of the two projects supported under the EU-H2020 calls, of which TUBITAK is the coordinator for the first time.

The kick-off meeting of the PhenolAcTwin project was held on December 3, 2020. Project members from project partners CSIC (Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior Deinvestigaciones Cientificas - Spain), QIB (Quadram Institute Bioscience - UK) and INRAE (Institut National De Recherche Pour L'agriculture, L'alimentation Et L'environnement - France) and Project Officer from the EU Research Executive Agency (REA) office attended the meeting. During the meeting, the activities and objectives of the project were discussed and the activities of the project for 2021 were planned.
