The Karkamış HEPP SCADA System Rehabilitation and Communication Systems Project, which started in February 2013 with the contract signed between Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. (EÜAŞ) and our institution, entered the warranty period after the provisional acceptances completed on November 13, 2014. Within the scope of the project, the design, production, testing, installation and commissioning processes of the SCADA and communication systems in Karkamış HEPP, which is located in Gaziantep/Karkamış district and has an installed capacity of 189 MW, were carried out entirely by the engineers and technicians of the Energy Institute with domestic facilities. As a result of the renovation works, the plant SCADA system was installed with redundant controller and communication systems. The control room was renovated and a system with redundant server and remote control function was installed. Secondary control infrastructure was established in order for the power plant to operate according to the automatic active power target value to be sent by TEİAŞ.
