The fourth Imece Workshops, organized in cooperation with İşbank, Finance in Motion and Frankfurt School, was held in Istanbul with the theme "Seed". Public and private sector representatives, academics, agricultural technology entrepreneurs, unions, cooperatives and leading farmers participated in the workshop organized under the slogan "Today's Seed, Future Agriculture". At the workshop, which was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selma Onarıcı, Leader of the Industrial Biotechnology Research Group of the Vice Presidency of Life Sciences on behalf of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), methods to ensure sustainability and efficiency under changing climate conditions, seed research and development activities, the future of agriculture and the steps that can be taken in the field of seeds for sustainable agriculture were discussed. As TÜBİTAK MAM, we carry out technological studies for agriculture in order to contribute to the development of Turkey's agricultural sector. By working on research projects and innovative solutions that will create solutions to the problems faced by the agricultural sector, we aim to support seed breeding studies and provide added value to our farmers. Focusing on agricultural technologies, plant molecular genetics and biotechnology, we support the development of sustainable agricultural practices.
