IMPORTANT COOPERATION BETWEEN KAYSERI METROPOLITAN CITY AND TÜBİTAK MAM

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç welcomed the delegation led by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, Vice President of TÜBİTAK and President of Marmara Research Center (MAM).

Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy, Vice President of Climate Change and Sustainability at TÜBİTAK MAM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesimi Özkurt, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgen Ercan, Dr. Özgür Duygulu and Dr. Serkan Buhan from the TÜBİTAK MAM delegation attended the meeting held at the Metropolitan Assembly Hall.

During the meeting, a detailed technical presentation was made on what activities can be carried out with municipalities in terms of sustainability and what contributions can be made to the infrastructure of municipalities in the fields of energy, waste generation and environment.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, President of TÜBİTAK MAM, expressed his pleasure to support social activities carried out with the public and pointed out the importance of the presence of the Science Center and DENEYAP Workshop in Kayseri.

The TÜBİTAK MAM delegation made a presentation on the products they have developed and the work they have done in the fields of water and environment. Detailed information was given on issues such as water basins, energy production from sludge waste, renewable energy technologies and noise barrier systems.

In the meeting where the projects on biogas, energy and waste in the city were also discussed, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil and his team also answered the questions of Mayor Büyükkılıç and his team.
