On November 17, 2014, an 8-member Guanco delegation consisting of officials from the Guanco Provincial Science, Technology and Information Bureau (BTEB) and representatives of some scientific institutions visited our Center. The meeting was held in the presence of the Vice President of TÜBİTAK MAM, Deputy Director of the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology, Energy Institute and Materials Institute officials. The meeting started with the opening speech made by Mr. Ali Tavlı, Vice President of TÜBİTAK MAM, and after mutual acquaintance, general information about our Center was given to the delegation and a promotional film was watched. Guanco officials made a verbal introduction with general information and general information about the working areas of TÜBİTAK MAM Institutes was given by the Institute representatives. Following the meeting, the delegation visited the sol-gel, electron microscopy and laser spectroscopy laboratories at the Institute of Materials, the immunogenetics, enzyme and microorganism genetics, advanced genome and bioinformatics laboratories at the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology, and the battery, vehicle, combustion and gasification laboratories at the Institute of Energy, respectively, and detailed information about the studies carried out was provided to the delegation by the experts on site.

The visit was useful in terms of introducing our Center in general and exchanging information about the activities carried out. In case of potential cooperation issues, it was evaluated that cooperation could be established within the framework of a bilateral cooperation agreement.
