On 14.06.2023, industry leaders, scientists and stakeholders came together at the Hydrogen Ecosystem Collaboration Meeting.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK; Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, President of TÜBİTAK MAM; Dr. Alp Eren Yurtseven, Vice President of TUBITAK TEYDEB; Dr. Mert Akel, Vice President of TÜBİTAK MAM Material Technologies; TÜBİTAK MAM researchers; and nearly 200 representatives from 94 companies, institutions and universities.

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL stated that the challenges and uncertainties caused by global warming can only be tackled with actions to be taken within the scope of green transformation. Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL stated that TUBITAK provides support to create a green transformation ecosystem with the green transformation-oriented Industry Innovation Network Mechanisms (SAYEM) and that from now on, SAYEM will be able to support different areas without being limited to green transformation. He said that their expectations from this meeting will be the positioning of the Hydrogen Ecosystem stakeholders in the ecosystem.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil stated that as TÜBİTAK MAM, they are advancing their work within the framework of their scientific mission to develop and implement technologies for the use of hydrogen in all areas, especially in the energy, industry, housing and transportation sectors.

In the sessions organized to support the development of hydrogen technologies, information on national research and development grant programs was provided.

Industry representatives visited TÜBİTAK MAM's pioneering hydrogen and fuel cell technology laboratories to learn about the latest technological equipment and studies. During the visit, the participants were also shown the application areas of the research carried out.

In simultaneous thematic sessions aiming to create a platform in the hydrogen ecosystem, possible cooperation opportunities of hydrogen used in different sectors were discussed. Participants came together with a focus on topics such as energy, transportation, industry and sustainability, and laid the solid foundations for joint projects specific to the hydrogen value chain. The sessions also enabled participants to exchange ideas and create a platform to promote the widespread use of hydrogen. Hydrogen ecosystem thematic sessions contributed to taking an important step in the future energy transformation and moving towards a sustainable future.
