At TeknoFest, Turkey's first aviation, space and technology festival held for the fourth time at Istanbul Atatürk Airport between September 21-26, 2021, with the slogan of national technology move, we shared our Institute's national and international studies on the Polar regions, Arctic and Antarctic with the festival participants. At our booth, where information was shared on many topics such as our country's full membership to the Scientific Committee on Antarctica (SCAR), the Inter-High School Polar Research Project Competition and the first National Polar Science Expeditions Training Book, we also shared our photo exhibition on the theme of the National Antarctic Expeditions (TAE), which has been taking place since 2017, and our latest documentary "Black Box of the Planet: Antarctica" and the Memory Game within the scope of our Education and Awareness activities: Matching Polar Creatures and Regions as part of our Education and Awareness activities.

Our Institute, which attracts the attention of everyone, regardless of children, young people and adults, with our Penguin and Polar bear mascots, brought together 22 project winners from the fields of life, physical, social and human, and earth sciences within the scope of our 2204-C High School Students Polar Research Project Competition, which was organized for the first time this year, with their awards at TeknoFest.

At our stand, which was visited by very valuable participants such as our Minister of Industry and Technology Mr. Mustafa Varank and our academician Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, activities were carried out to raise social awareness, to encourage future scientists and to ensure that young people have more say in climate issues, especially the habits that we can change as individuals to protect our environment and therefore the Polar regions, while focusing on explaining the drastic change of global climate change, especially in the Polar regions, and climate migrations, accompanied by our mascots.
