A contract was signed on 21.10.2014 between the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of Environmental Management and TUBITAK Marmara Research Center for the "Project for Updating the European Union Integrated Environmental Approximation Strategy" in order to evaluate the current realization status of the objectives and strategies, acquis alignment and investments envisaged in the European Union Integrated Environmental Approximation Strategy document for the 2007-2014 period and to update it for the 2014-2023 period.

Under contract;

Water Quality, Waste Management, Air Quality, Industrial Pollution and Risk Management, Climate Change, Chemicals Management, Noise Management, Horizontal Sector and Nature Conservation;

• From 2007 to date, the distribution of investments by sector and sub-sectors by year,
• Since 2007, determination of the distribution of completed investments to funds on the basis of central government, local governments, private sector and sector,
• Revealing and interpreting the deviations in the assumptions and plans for the years 2007-2014 in the NCCAP document,
• Comparing the EU Environmental Legislation included in the NCCAP with the current EU Environmental Legislation, determining to what extent the costs calculated in the NCCAP on the basis of the directives that are not currently in force cover the cost of harmonization and implementation of the new EU acquis that replaces the old legislation, whether an additional cost analysis is required for the new legislation, and for which sectors and legislation a cost analysis is required, and making the necessary analyses.
• Determination of investments to be made until 2023 and investment needs,
• Determination of the annual distribution of the financing sources of the Investment Needs for the harmonization of the National Environmental Legislation with the EU Environmental acquis,
• Reviewing all information under the headings in the existing NCCAP document and making the necessary updates for the 2014-2023 period,
• Determination and establishment of the monitoring and evaluation method for monitoring the realization of the investments envisaged in the updated NCCAP document, determination of indicators, establishment of data collection and monitoring method,
• Establishment of a web-based software for monitoring the implementation of NCCAP,

It is aimed to update the European Union Environmental Integrated Harmonization Strategy Document to include the studies.
