Within the scope of the project "Energy and Raw Material Recovery from Treatment Sludge as Zero Waste Conceptual" supported by ANSO- Alliance of International Science Organizations, our Turkey leg meeting was held between 20-24 March 2023 hosted by TÜBİTAK MAM with the participation of the project coordinator organization TÜBİTAK MAM and the participants of Tanzania Industrial Research and Development (TIRDO), Palestine Al-Quds University and Pakistan COMSATS University Islamabad. According to the meeting agenda, the institutions presented and evaluated the results of the work packages for which they are responsible within the scope of the project.

In addition, the Biodegradable Waste Recovery Laboratory of the Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency Research Group was visited and detailed information was provided about TÜBİTAK MAM and the hydrodynamic cavitation unit developed by a local company and used in the laboratory studies carried out within the scope of the project, and its effects on the increase in biogas amount were evaluated. Muğla Wastewater Treatment Plant, where the pilot scale hydrodynamic cavitation reactor was installed, was visited and information was given about the facility and the pilot scale cavitation reactor was examined on site.
