Within the scope of TUBITAK 2218 Domestic Postdoctoral Research Program, experts and researchers from University of Gümüşhane and TÜBİTAK MAM Vice Presidency of Climate Change and Sustainability (BYİDS) Earth Sciences Research Group conducted a series of magnetotelluric measurements to determine the hydrothermal system components and crustal properties of Çanakkale Biga Peninsula between 22 September-1 October 2022.
The magnetotelluric data obtained within the scope of the program are integrated with seismological data and a comprehensive evaluation is carried out. This study aims to determine the hydrothermal system, deep geothermal potential areas and crustal discontinuities of the peninsula.
