A Goodwill Agreement (GOA) was signed at TÜBİTAK MAM Gebze Campus with the participation of DeFacto Company representatives and Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy, President of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM). With this agreement, it is planned to cooperate in the development of the clothes planned to be worn in the National Arctic Scientific Research Expeditions (TASE), to determine the content of the research and development activities to be carried out for the Arctic Region, to determine the content of the joint activities to be carried out, to determine the subjects of the joint projects to be developed and the cooperation models for the implementation of the projects.

The first prototype of the clothes to be developed within the scope of TASE was provided by DeFacto company and used in this year's expedition and preliminary results were obtained in many areas such as textile technology, monitoring of vital functions, durability, thermal comfort, etc. This detail was discussed at the meeting and opinions were exchanged on the development stages.

In the field of textile, which is one of the strongest sectors of our country, cooperation has been made with TÜBİTAK MAM within the scope of polar studies, and clothes (smart textile products) produced by our national brands are used in our polar expeditions. At the end of the meeting, it was decided to accelerate and continue the work to improve this pleasing picture.
