Under the coordination of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, the Turkish Ceramic Sector Strategy Document and Action Plan Workshop was held in Ankara on 22 September 2016.

Necdet Barlas, Strategic Planning Unit Manager at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center, and Yasemin Tabak, a researcher from the Materials Institute, attended the workshop, which was also attended by ministry officials, sector representatives and academics.

Within the scope of the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation process of the Turkish Ceramic Sector Strategy Document and Action Plan, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 25/01/2013 and numbered 28539, the preparations for the new document have started and the workshop was held in this context. The outputs obtained after the workshop were presented to the participants and it was decided to continue the work within the scope of the workshop in the coming days.
