| Within the scope of the Regulation on Environmental Noise Control, "Basic Acoustics Training and Environmental Noise/Vibration Measurements" for the personnel of the Central and Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change with the participation of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center experts Training Program (Group A)" was organized. In this training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesimi Özkurt, Dr. Deniz Sarı, Dr. Muhammet Erdöl, Eng. Eng. Samet Feyyaz Hamamcı and Eng. Eng. Melike Neşe Tezel Oğuz took part as trainers. On the first day of the training, Prof. Dr. Burcu ÖZSOY, President of our TÜBİTAK MAM Center and Eyyüp KARAHAN, Director General of Environmental Management from the Ministry made opening speeches respectively. Prof. Özsoy talked about the activities of determining environmental noise levels, creating environmental noise mitigation scenarios and action plans that can be implemented, and developing domestic noise barrier systems to control the noise emission of road and railway sources within the scope of environmental noise management studies carried out by our Center to improve the quality of urban life. Referring to the various projects initiated in cooperation between our Center and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in order to meet the national technological needs in the field of environment, he stated that our Center will continue to support our Ministry with all its units in future project partnerships. In the training held between July 18-21, 2023 and attended by a total of 190 people, Eng. Eng. Melike Neşe Tezel Oğuz shared information on "General Information on Acoustics and Effects of Noise". On the second day of the training, Air Quality and Environmental Noise Technologies Research Group Leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesimi Özkurt shared information about the group's activities on environmental noise management, projects carried out and laboratory infrastructure. Within the scope of the training, he covered the topic of "Noise Control Measures". On July 20, firstly, Assoc. Eng. Samet Feyyaz Hamamcı continued the training with "Description of Environmental Noise" and then Dr. Muhammet ERDÖL continued with "Environmental Vibration". On the last day of the training program, Dr. Deniz Sarı gave brief information to the participants about the methods, measurement parameters and devices within the scope of "Noise Measurement". |
