The "Aviation Technologies Test and Excellence Center (HTTMM) Feasibility Study Project" organized within the scope of the "Aviation Technologies Test and Excellence Center Feasibility Study Project" conducted by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Materials Institute was held on November 21, 2017 in Ankara.
Over 160 people from more than 50 institutions and organizations attended the workshop. The workshop started with opening speeches by Dr. Cihan Kanlıgöz, Deputy Director General for Aerospace Technologies of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications (MoTMC), Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of TÜBİTAK MAM, Murat İkinci, Deputy General Manager of STM Engineering and Consultancy, Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekçi, Deputy Undersecretary of the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries, and Dr. Özkan Poyraz, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.
Sector representatives Halil Tokel (THY Technical Advisor), Murat Özhamam (SSM), Ömer Duman (TAI Test and Evaluation Engineering Manager), Dr. Metehan Çalış (TSE Tuzla Building Materials Fire Acoustics Lab. Taylan Ercan (TEI), Yalçın Faik Sümer (Chief Airworthiness Officer at Turkish Technic), Güven Ertan Patlar (Quality Control Manager at KALE Aviation), Dr. A. Sertaç Sunay (Test and Evaluation Coordinator at TÜBİTAK SAGE), Orhan Aydın (Chairman of the Board of OSTİM) and İlhami Keleş (Secretary General of SAHA Istanbul).
Following the presentation of Dr. Özgür Duygulu, Project Coordinator from TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute, on "Studies Conducted within the Scope of HTTMM Project", the questions of the participants were answered by the project stakeholders.
The workshop was opened by Hasan Pehlivan, Head of Department of the General Directorate of Aerospace Technologies of the UDHB, Dr. Hamza Gerçekcioğlu, Deputy General Manager, and Assoc. Following the general evaluations of Hasan Pehlivan, Head of Department at the Directorate General of Aviation and Space Technologies of the MoTMC, Dr. Hamza Gerçekcioğlu, Deputy Director General, and TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute Group Coordinator and Lead Researcher Assoc. Prof. Dr. Havva Kazdal Zeytin, the workshop ended with a speech of thanks by Dr. Cihan Kanlıgöz, Deputy Director General of Aviation and Space Technologies at the MoTMC.
