T.R. Adıyaman Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization sends the samples taken to TÜBİTAK MAM for analysis to determine whether the wastes extracted from the wells drilled by TPAO are harmful to humans and the environment. The report of the samples evaluated in terms of hazardousness in accordance with Annex-3 of the Waste Management Regulation at the Environment and Clean Production Institute will determine the risks to the environment and the conditions for disposal.
With the Annex-3 studies, reports on the disposal, recovery and reuse of all wastes generated throughout the country or indiscriminately left to the environment are prepared by the Environment and Cleaner Production Institute.
All these activities are carried out in close cooperation with the Police, Gendarmerie, Coast Guard, Courthouse and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
