Held on 15 May 2019 at the TSE Presidency, the meeting was attended by institutions and organizations including TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry General Directorate of Food Control, The Standards and Metrology Institute for the Islamic Countries (SMIIC), Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK), Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ), TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (UME).
During the meeting, the importance of our national food security was emphasized and what can be done in the field of Halal Food was discussed.
In the field of Halal Food, it was decided to start joint cooperation activities in order to increase our competitiveness in the world with innovative methods and to ensure the consumption of reliable food products in the Islamic geography, especially in Turkey.
