The Climate Change Adaptation Grant Scheme (CCAGP) is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey. "Climate Change Adaptation Grant Scheme (CCAGP)" is implemented by the Climate Change Directorate of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUUU) and the contracting authority of the grant scheme is the Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations, Department of European Union Investments of the MoEUUU.
Within the scope of the grant program, "Team Work" of the project "ACLIFS - Assessing the Impacts of Climate Change on Food Security and Increasing the Resilience of Rural Communities" carried out under the coordination of TUBITAK Marmara Research Center in partnership with Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Ege University, Istanbul University, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul International Agricultural Research Institute Directorate and Fruit Research Institute, was held in TÜBİTAK MAM on 26 June with the participation of the project team.
In the all-day study, presentations on the technical and administrative activities carried out within the scope of the work packages were made by Dr. Tuğba DOĞAN GÜZEL from TÜBİTAK MAM, Assoc. Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali ERTÜRK and Prof. Dr. Bekir KAYACAN from Istanbul University, Isparta Applied Sciences Res. Assist. Fuat KAYA and Prof. Dr. M. Tolga ESETLİLİ from Ege University. In the second part of the meeting, suggestions for further activation of the activities carried out were evaluated in the light of the information provided through a common working environment between the project teams. It was emphasized that thanks to the cooperation and solution-oriented approaches put forward, the project is aimed to progress with a strong momentum in the coming period and that interdisciplinary harmony contributes significantly to the success of the project.
The ACLIFS Project aims to identify the impacts of climate change on agriculture and animal husbandry in three selected basins (Küçük Menderes Basin and Eğirdir-Karacaören and Beyşehir Lakes Basins), including socio-economic consequences, and to evaluate adaptation options, and it is planned to organize Focus Group Meetings and 2nd Regional Workshops in the next phase of the study.
