ACLIFS Project 1st Regional Workshops to be held in Isparta and Izmir

The Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program (CCAGP) is designed to support the implementation of climate change adaptation projects at local and regional level in Turkey. CCAGP aims to increase the resilience of communities, protect natural resources and ecosystems, and build the adaptive capacity of vulnerable social groups as well as cities and economic sectors. The Final Beneficiary of the Program is the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Turkey (MoEUUU), Directorate of Climate Change and the Contracting Authority of the Grant Scheme is the Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Affairs, Department of European Union Investments of MoEUUU.

The "ACLIFS - Assessing the Impacts of Climate Change on Food Security and Enhancing the Resilience of Rural Communities" Project, supported under the Grant Scheme and coordinated by TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, entered into force with the contract signed on 13.12.2023 and the project kick-off meeting was held on 7 March 2024.

Within the framework of the activities to be carried out within the scope of the project, in order to evaluate the effects of climate change on agricultural production and its socio-economic impacts and to discuss adaptation options to climate change July 9, 2024 in the history of Isparta Eğirdir Fruit Research Institute and On July 11, 2024 at the Directorate of Izmir Izmir International Agricultural Research and Training Center 1. Regional Workshops will be organized. The events will also be available online.
