ACLIFS Project Outputs Consultation Meeting Completed at TÜBİTAK MAM

The ACLIFS Project Output Consultation Meeting was held at TÜBİTAK MAM with the participation of stakeholders.

Avrupa Birliği ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafından İklim Değişikliğine Uyum Hibe Programı (CCAGP) kapsamında ortaklaşa finanse edilen, TÜBİTAK Marmara Araştırma Merkezi koordinatörlüğünde, Isparta Uygulamalı Bilimler Üniversitesi, Ege Üniversitesi, İstanbul Üniversitesi, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Uluslararası Tarımsal Araştırma ve Eğitim Merkezi ve Meyvecilik Araştırma Enstitüsü ortaklığında yürütülen “ACLIFS – İklim Değişikliğinin Gıda Güvenliği Üzerindeki Etkilerinin Değerlendirilmesi ve Kırsal Toplumların Dayanıklılığının Arttırılması” projesinin Proje Çıktıları İstişare Toplantısı, TÜBİTAK Marmara Araştırma Merkezi’nde gerçekleştirildi.

The Consultation Meeting was attended by 35 representatives from the Climate Change Directorate, the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, the General Directorate of Water Management, the General Directorate of Meteorology, TAGEM, UTAEM, MAREM, Istanbul University, Istanbul Technical University, Ege University, Isparta University of Applied Sciences, and TÜBİTAK MAM. The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgen ERCAN, Deputy Head of Climate and Life Sciences at TÜBİTAK MAM, and Furkan Keskin from the Climate Change Directorate of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change. This was followed by a project briefing presentation by project coordinator Dr. Tuğba DOĞAN GÜZEL.

During the remainder of the meeting, the activities carried out by the project team, the findings obtained, and the project outputs were shared. Detailed presentations on each work package were given by Prof. Dr. Yurdanur ÜNAL, Prof. Dr. Ali ERTÜRK, Prof. Dr. Yusuf KURUCU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mert DEDEOĞLU, Prof. Dr. Bekir KAYACAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferda KARAGÖZ ÖZENÇ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan ÖVENÇ, Gökçin VURAL, and Dr. Tuğba DOĞAN GÜZEL.

During the meeting, stakeholders' valuable assessments were taken into account, and a comprehensive exchange of views took place regarding the feasibility and sustainability of the project outputs and the work that could be carried out in the future. It was stated that the views shared would make a significant contribution to the final stage of the project.

A Closing Meeting will be held in Izmir in December to share the project's outputs with all stakeholders.
