Pakistan's Ambassador and Minister for Scientific Affairs to Ankara Visits Various Research Infrastructures at TÜBİTAK MAM

Dr. Badar-ud-din AHMED, Scientific Affairs Ambassador and Undersecretary at the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, visited the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) with the aim of strengthening technological cooperation ties between the two countries. During the visit, research infrastructures in various fields such as Hydrogen, Clean Energy, Materials, and Food Technologies were examined, and the potential for joint project development was discussed.

The Scientific Affairs Ambassador and Undersecretary of the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, Dr. Badar-ud-din AHMED, visited the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) to assess the potential for scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries and to strengthen technological cooperation ties. During this visit, the Pakistani Ambassador for Scientific Affairs and Deputy Chief of Mission was accompanied by Dr. Ersin ÜRESİN, Deputy Head of Materials and Process Technologies, and Dr. Samet Feyyaz HAMAMCI, Director of Strategy and Business Development, from the TÜBİTAK MAM delegation.

As part of the visit program, Dr. Badar-ud-Din AHMED had the opportunity to examine the state-of-the-art infrastructure and laboratories of various research groups at TÜBİTAK MAM.

During the first half of the day, visits were made to the Earth Sciences Research Group, the Accelerated Mass Spectrometry (AMS) Laboratory, the Metallic and Structural Materials Research Group, the Food Innovation Technologies Research Group, and the TÜGİP pilot production lines.
In the afternoon, the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Research Group and the Resource Efficiency and Clean Energy Laboratories were examined in detail.

During the technical visits, comprehensive information was shared about the capacity of the research infrastructures in question, the projects being carried out, and their industrial applications. The discussions covered the foundations for joint work in technology areas, primarily material technologies, clean energy, hydrogen, food technologies, and earth sciences.

This meeting provided an opportunity to thoroughly discuss potential cooperation opportunities that could be developed between the two countries in various fields.

The visit was an important step toward deepening existing relations between the two countries in the scientific and technological fields and establishing new partnerships.
