At the event organized within the scope of the Horizon Europe Programme, leading research nations and industry representatives from Europe and Türkiye shared their project experiences and success stories.
The Processes4Planet (P4Planet) Partnership Information and Networking Day was held under the “Turkey in Horizon Europe” Technical Assistance Project—supported by TÜBİTAK—in collaboration with the R&D Centers Communication and Cooperation Platform (ARGEMİP) and the European Association for Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency (A.SPIRE).
TÜBİTAK MAM participated in an event where leading research organizations and industry representatives from Europe and Turkey shared their experiences and success stories regarding supported projects. TÜBİTAK MAM demonstrated how it could contribute to industrial decarbonization processes through its expertise in areas such as biofuels, carbon capture and utilization (CCU), sustainability, digitalization, and resource efficiency—particularly regarding water and energy. During the presentations, the Center’s capabilities—spanning from laboratory to pilot scale—in gasification, carbon capture, fuel technologies, process development, and digitalization were showcased to the participants.
As part of the event, project ideas were presented in alignment with Horizon Europe 2027 calls focused on climate, the circular economy, and industrial transformation. Subsequently, bilateral meetings (B2B) were held with experts from the Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research (SINTEF) of Norway, the Centre for Applied Research and Technology (TECNALIA) of Spain, and the Centre for Research on Energy Resources and Consumption (CIRCE). These discussions addressed how high-TRL (Technology Readiness Level 3–6) expertise and existing pilot infrastructures could be integrated into prospective international consortia. The project proposals included smart textile wastewater recovery; green steel production integrating renewable energy, hydrogen, and biomass gasification; and the development of a decision-support tool for biomass mobilization using digital models.
