The Memorandum of Understanding between the TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute (KARE) and the Ecuadorian Navy Institute of Oceanography and Antarctic Research (INOCAR), prepared to improve scientific cooperation in Antarctic research, was signed on May 27, 2022 during the 44th International Consultative Meeting of the Antarctic Treaty System in Berlin, Germany. At the end of the ceremony, which aims to develop the Antarctic Research of both countries in the scientific and logistical fields, the ties of mutual friendship were reinforced by the parties.
