The 17th Meeting of the Chemistry Technical Committee (KİMTEK) was held on August 31, 2016 at the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in Ankara.
On behalf of MAM, Prof. Dr. Ülker Beker, Director of the Institute of Chemical Technology, and Necdet Barlas, Strategy Planning Unit Manager, attended the 17th meeting of the Chemistry Technical Committee, which was established in order to create a substructure for the studies to be carried out in order to ensure and encourage the balanced and rapid development of the industry in order to open new horizons in the chemical industry according to the conditions of the day and the requirements of technology in line with the principles and objectives set out in the development plans and programs of our country, and to increase its competitiveness.
At the meeting, which was attended by representatives of relevant institutions and organizations, discussions were held on the current situation of the chemical sector, the production of sustainable products with high added value that are sensitive to the environment and human health, as well as the determination of the Targets and Actions of the Turkish Chemicals Strategy Document (2017-2020).
