A meeting organized by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (UMT) for the managers of Water and Canal Administrations (WUDI) on "Technological Approaches in Municipal Service Delivery: The Case of TUBITAK" was held.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Şükrü Karatepe, Chairman of the Presidential Local Government Policies Board, Fatma Şahin, Mayor of UMT and Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and SUKI executives.
Noting that TUBITAK is very important in terms of using domestic and national resources and seeing the point reached by the institutions in Turkey in R&D, President Şahin stated that there are many topics that concern SUKIs in the studies carried out within TÜBİTAK MAM.
Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of the Center, talked about the work and establishment of TÜBİTAK MAM and invited all participants to MAM, stating that they are ready to work with municipalities on issues such as environment, energy, earth and marine sciences, food technologies.
