TURKEY AND BULGARIA SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION MEETING WAS HELD

Admiral Boyan Kirilov Mednikarov, Rector of Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, Prof. Christo Pimpirev, Director of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and the accompanying delegation visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on November 5, 2021.

The Bulgarian delegation was welcomed by TÜBİTAK MAM President V. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil and Vice President V. Prof. Hasan Hakan Yavaşoğlu, Deputy Director of TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute, Dragomir Mateev, Oleg Vasilev from the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute, TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute

Researchers Kpt. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Kpt. Özgün Oktar, ITU Dr. Lecturer Mahmut Oğuz Selbesoğlu. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Oğuz Selbesoğlu came together for lunch.

Vice President Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy informed the Bulgarian delegation about the capabilities and activities of TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute.

In the meeting held afterwards, presentations were made by the Bulgarian delegation and the officials of the Naval Forces Command. Ideas were exchanged on potential areas of cooperation.

The two institutions completed this meaningful visit by presenting gifts to each other.
