Prof. Dr. Mustafa El Ballah, Undersecretary of the Sudanese Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Osam El Rais, Director General of Africa Technology City, visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on 18 January 2019.

The Sudanese delegation visited our Center accompanied by Dr. Orkun Hasekioğlu, President Advisor of TÜBİTAK, and was welcomed by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of TÜBİTAK MAM.

Within the scope of the "Memorandum of Understanding" signed between TÜBİTAK and Sudan, it is envisaged to cooperate in agricultural technologies, digital transformation, renewable energy, nanotechnology and software development in areas needed by Sudan.

Following the presentations made by representatives of the Institutes of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology, Energy and Chemical Technology, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı led a tour of facilities and laboratories related to herbal medicine, solar cells, vehicle technologies and plant biotechnology.
