TÜBİTAK MAM Promotion Seminar was held at Gebze Chamber of Commerce (GTO) on November 19, 2015 to introduce the studies carried out in the institutes affiliated to TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center.
The event was attended by the Ministry of Economy, Ankara Development Agency, East Marmara Development Agency, Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Presidents of SİADs, GTO Board of Directors, Assembly and Professional Committee Members, Women Entrepreneurs Board Members.
In his opening speech, GTO Chairman Nail ÇİLER expressed his pleasure to host TÜBİTAK MAM and shared his views on the importance of integrating industry and technology. TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President of Strategy and Technology Development Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat MAKARACI emphasized the importance of the need for industrialists to benefit more from the knowledge of TÜBİTAK MAM as an institution that has signed national projects.
Dr. Selma AYAZ, Director of the TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Environment and Cleaner Production, Dr. Abdullah KARADAĞ, Deputy Director of the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cesarettin ALAŞALVAR, Director of the Institute of Food, Prof. Dr. Ülker BEKER, Director of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prof. Dr. Metin USTA, Director of the Institute of Materials, Prof. Dr. Abdullah KARAMAN, Director of the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences, and Namık ÜNLÜ, Principal Researcher at the Institute of Energy, gave detailed information on the fields of study and projects of the institutes.
In the surveys organized for industry representatives, the tests/analyses requested to be carried out by TÜBİTAK MAM in line with the needs of the companies, the test/analysis service information obtained from abroad, and R&D needs were communicated to MAM Industrial Services Unit.
