TÜBİTAK MAM took part in the "Expo Turkey by Qatar" exhibition organized for the first time in Doha, the capital of Qatar, together with MARTEK, BUTAL and UME.
"Expo Turkey by Qatar", which aims to transform Qatar and Turkey into the economic center of the region, was held on 19-21 April 2017 at the Qatar National Convention Center with the participation of more than 200 Turkish companies.
Under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President of Strategy and Technology Development at TÜBİTAK MAM, officials from the Business Development Unit, Energy Institute and Chemical Technologies Institute participated in the fair, where productive contacts were made with companies for three days.
Fikret Özer, Ambassador of Turkey to Doha, said in his speech at the opening of the fair that the fair was organized in partnership with Mediacity from Turkey and QNCC from Qatar. Mohamed Bin Ahmed Bin Towar, Vice President of Qatar Chamber of Commerce, stated that Qatar has been attaching importance to infrastructure works in recent years and emphasized that the presentation of products from Turkey, which has great experience in this field, is important for the Qatari market.
TÜBİTAK was awarded the "Innovation of the Year Award" at the award ceremony organized within the scope of the fair. Vice President Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şahin Gök received the award on behalf of TÜBİTAK.
