Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selma Öztürk, Deputy Director of TÜBİTAK MAM Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute, and her research team were awarded the "Elginkan Foundation Technology Award".
The "Turkish Culture Research and Technology Awards" organized by the Elginkan Foundation to reveal and encourage research in the fields of Turkish culture and technology found their owners.
The "Elginkan Foundation Technology Award", which is given to a researcher or group of researchers who have made a real contribution to technology by developing new products/techniques/technology-based production processes, was awarded to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selma Öztürk, Deputy Director of TÜBİTAK MAM Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute, and her research team for their work on "Mycotoxin Analysis in Traditional Foods".
The other winners of the same award were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Havva Yağcı Acar with her "Project on the Development of Biocompatible, Nanotheranostic Silver Calgonite Quantum Dots Radiating in the Near-Infrared Region" and Prof. Dr. Engin Umut Akkaya with his "Project on a New Methodology for the Application of Photodynamic Therapy in Hypoxic Tumors".
