TÜBİTAK MAM Energy Institute Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat MAKARACI and Energy Institute Director Assoc. Dr. Abdulkadir BALIKÇI, Deputy Director of the Institute Dr. Murat DEMİRCİ participated in the Electric Rail Transportation Systems Symposium (ERUSIS 2015) held in Eskişehir on 8 May 2015 in order to introduce the electric rail vehicle studies carried out within the Energy Institute to the sector. Deputy Governor of Eskişehir, General Managers of TÜLOMSAŞ, TÜVASAŞ, TÜDEMSAŞ, Savronik, Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, President of Chamber of Industry, academicians from Anadolu and Osmangazi Universities, Head of TCDD Rail Systems Department, Transportation A.Ş. official, public and private sector representatives attended the symposium.

Following the symposium, the delegation visited the prototype locomotive produced within the scope of the "Development of E1000 Type Electric Locomotive" project carried out by the Energy Institute at the facilities of TÜLOMSAŞ, a project stakeholder, and made an inspection and test drive.

The delegation visited TEI General Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk AKŞİT, the project manager of MILRES (National Wind Power Plant), in which MAM is a stakeholder, and left Eskişehir.
