The IVth Energy Digital Transformation Panels (EDD2024), organized by the Turkish Electricity Industry Association (TESAB), took place online between 24-26 December 2024. The event, where topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Smart Grids and Autonomous Systems, Innovation and R&D were discussed, brought together leading academics, public and private sector representatives.
On behalf of TÜBİTAK MAM, Dr. Doğan Gezer, Vice Presidency Coordinator of Energy Technologies, participated in the panel titled "Artificial Intelligence in Energy" organized as part of the event and made evaluations on the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in energy systems. The panel discussed AI-supported optimization solutions, digital twin applications and data-driven management approaches in energy generation, distribution and consumption.
Prof. Dr. Doğan Gezer highlighted TÜBİTAK MAM's work in this field and emphasized the contributions that artificial intelligence-based forecasting and optimization models in energy networks can provide to the sector. He also shared his views on the impact of digitalization on decision support systems and operational efficiency in energy management.
The innovative approaches and projects developed by TÜBİTAK MAM were followed with interest by the participants in today's world where the importance of digital transformation in the energy sector is increasing.
