TÜBİTAK, with its Centers and Institutes (MAM, BİLGEM, SAGE) participated in IDEF'17 13th International Defense Industry Fair held at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between 9-12 May 2017.
Turkey's First National Air-Air Missiles Gökdoğan and Bozdoğan, developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE, were presented at the exhibition, where approximately 800 companies from more than 50 countries took part.
TÜBİTAK MAM participated in the fair with its Energy Institute, Chemical Technology Institute and Materials Institute. During the fair, TÜBİTAK MAM exhibited Lithium Ion Battery, Fuel Cell Modules and Components, Gas Trapping Systems, Hydrogen Burning Catalyst, Mask Chemicals, Fuel Bags for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Energetic Materials, Terahertz Imaging System, Behind-the-Wall Detection Radar, Milli Sonoboy DIFAR Acoustic Sensor, Milli Sonar ASW Transducer Element, Chemical Weapon Hand Detector, Low Thermal Expansion Glass Ceramic, New Generation Antifouling Marine Paints, Floating Decoy and Launcher.
On the second day of the exhibition, a Cooperation Protocol on "High Temperature Resistant Composite Material Development" was signed between TÜBİTAK MAM and ROKETSAN A.Ş. The protocol was signed by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Arif Ergin, MAM President Dr. Orkun Hasekioğlu, ROKETSAN General Manager Selçuk Yaşar and Assistant General Manager Sartuk Karasoy.
