TÜBİTAK MAM and TÜPRAŞ are working on R&D projects that will shape Turkey's energy future.
The visit to TÜPRAŞ was a meeting where important discussions were held on digitalization, environmental sustainability and innovative technologies in the energy sector. One of the main agenda items of the visit was R&D collaborations on digital solutions and process optimization. TÜBİTAK MAM has the expertise to provide significant support for digital twin technology and artificial intelligence-based optimization solutions in TÜPRAŞ's refineries. In the meetings held within this framework, the use of new generation digital technologies to increase the operational efficiency of refineries, optimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact was discussed.
TÜPRAŞ's sustainable refining strategies were also on the agenda of the visit. These strategies focused on industrial symbiosis, waste recovery and energy efficiency projects. TÜBİTAK MAM stated that it is ready to provide scientific support to make industrial processes more sustainable within the framework of circular economy principles. TÜPRAŞ's projects in this area aim to recycle waste and use resources more efficiently in energy production.
During the visit, projects on environmentally friendly fuels and carbon emission reduction were also discussed in detail. TÜBİTAK MAM's scientific support to TÜPRAŞ's digitalization and environmental sustainability projects will contribute to the establishment of a more efficient, environmentally friendly and competitive structure in Turkey's energy sector.
These efforts on innovation and sustainability in the energy sector will contribute to Turkey's energy independence and increase its competitiveness in the international arena.
