Leading professionals of the energy sector, energy investors, public decision makers, industrialists, suppliers, institutions, association officials and representatives of many academic and non-governmental organizations came together at the ninth "ICCI Energy Awards", known as the Oscars of the Turkish energy sector.
The project for the installation of hydro units in urban water transmission lines, developed by Izmir General Directorate of Water and Sewerage Administration (IZSU), TOBB University of Economics and Technology and TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), received the special award for technology, digitalization and innovation at the 9th ICCI Energy Awards.
The project aims to establish hydroelectric power plants with unmanned and condition assessment systems in Izmir's urban water supply network. In this way, the unused hydraulic potential in water transmission lines will be transformed into green energy.
The "ICCI Energy Awards", which are given to support the services and contributions made to the Energy Sector, which has become one of the most important agenda items in Turkey and in the world, also aims to encourage projects and services to be carried out in the future.
