Composite materials used in aerospace, defense industry, automotive and many other sectors continue to be an important area of technological development worldwide.
In this context, Turkey's composite material producers, raw material suppliers and local and international brands of the sector came together at the 6th International Composites Fair "MEET4COMPOSITE" organized by Composite Industrialists Association and ED Fuarcılık.
TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) took its place in this prestigious organization with its advanced technology products.
TÜBİTAK MAM showcased several innovative products such as Carbon Aircraft Brake Pad, Open Porous and Lightweight Metal Structures (Metal Foam - Honeycomb - Lattice/Cage), High Performance Polymer Resin Systems, Thermal Interface Material and Anti-Corrosion Coating Material. These products offer state-of-the-art solutions in the industry, providing critical advantages such as light weight, durability and cost effectiveness.
In particular, the Carbon Aircraft Brake Pad is of great importance for aircraft safety and performance, while Open Porous and Lightweight Metal Structures offer domestic and national innovations to the industry in building high-strength yet lightweight structures.
During the exhibition, TÜBİTAK MAM made a series of presentations on the technical features and application areas of these products. The presentations were followed with great interest by industry professionals and visitors.
During the event, the Director General of Industry, Mr. Prof. Dr. İlker Murat AR, Director General of Industry, and Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, also visited TÜBİTAK MAM and listened to the work carried out from the experts. Mr. Şekib Avdagiç also visited TÜBİTAK MAM and listened to the work done from the experts.
In addition, anti-corrosion coating materials offer greater resistance to environmental impacts while reducing costs by ensuring the longevity of metal structures.
During the event, the TÜBİTAK MAM team exchanged technical information with the participants and evaluated local and international cooperation opportunities.
